You should take some time to think about people's usual reactions to breaking up. Most people let their emotions take over the decision-making process. They telephone their ex constantly and say they still love them. Then when that doesn’t work they start to plead with them to stay. Next they might say they will do something nutty if they are left alone. Finally, they lock themselves inside and don’t converse with anybody.

In a word, acting like this makes it look as if you have lost your mind. If you have behaved like this you have to ask yourself this question- Did my ex fall for what I am now? It’s improbable that your ex fell for a clingy, needy type.

On the upside, you have the power to change things. You just have to take a stepaway from the situation and think. Break-ups are emotional times as love is a powerful thing, but break-ups do not usually lead to lasting mental problems. There is a danger that displaying strange behavior after a break will make a long-lasting impression on your ex and it will be hard to change that impression in the future.

As a partnership grows people worry less. And as people become relaxed they sometimes get, for want of a better word, slopy. At time like these we mightn't figure out that things are on rocky ground. Thus, it can be a shock that problems appear and multiply at such speed. Then you can be at risk of doing what your emotions tell you.

What you should do is get some yards between you and your ex. Then your plan has to be to work on becoming the person your ex first fell for. Actually if you make a plan and get it correct you can become better than before.
